Something nice happened to Something Close, the book I'm writing now. Nomadic Press and the San Francisco Foundation gave me their 2023 non-fiction prize for an excerpt from this work in progress, which will be the third volume in a trilogy that began with The Public Gardens: Poems and History and Wite Out: Love and Work.
